The STIFF/VIACTORS 2011 Summer School on Impedance took place from July 25-29 in Bavaria (Germany), in a Benedictine convent on the very scenic island "Frauenchiemsee". The convent was founded around 772 by the Duke of Bavaria, Tassilo III.

It can only be reached by boat, and thus offers a secluded setting in a highly picturesque environment.

Ah yes...the Abbey is well-known for its home-brewn liqueur. So... enjoy it while you're there.
